You know when you type up an email and send it off to someone... The next time you start entering the email address it automatically pops up? Where does Outlook keep this data? We have also written a tool to clean up this file as it is encoded... sort of. Well it's not really that hard to find. Double click on My Computer. 1. Click on Tools and then Folder options 2. Select the view tab 3. Under advanced settings choose “Show hidden files and folders” 4. Also uncheck the box to “Hide extensions for known file types” 5. Click OK. 6. You are now in My Computer still. If not go back to My Computer. Now go to your hard drive which has windows installed on it. If this does not make sense it is normally your C drive. 7. To ensure you are on the right hard drive you will see a folder called Documents and Settings on the hard drive. Go into it. 8. There will be folders with the names of the users that use the computer as well as a few others. Go into your username (eg. Chris). 9. Go into the folder Application Data. 10. Go into the folder Microsoft. 11. Go into the folder Outlook. 12. Now copy all the files with the extension .NK2 to an easily accessible location. These are the files you need to submit into the tool I provided at the link below. (eg. Outlook.NK2 or Albertyn.NK2) http://www.phpin24.co.za/tools/parseEmailTool By PHPin24 @ 2008-02-22 23:09:36
